eCOM and OneConnect Sign a Strategic Cooperation Agreement

        In January 2019, eCOM Information Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (“eCOM”) and OneConnect Technology Co., Ltd. (“OneConnect) signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Both parties will conduct in-dept cooperation by sharing solutions, co-designing and promoting the "smart trade + big data financial platform" in the areas of product design, product risk control and modeling, government business cooperation and customs business cooperation.

       eCOM and OneConnect will share respective solutions to each other. For example, the smart port, free trade cloud platform and global supply chain data sharing platform of eCOM, as well as the smart financial services integration platform of OneConnect. Both parties will jointly design the "smart trade + big financial data platform” to integrate five subjects, including government trade regulators, banks and financial services institutions, core enterprise, small to medium-sized enterprises, and the platform operating company, as well as third party trade services (such as warehousing, transportation, freight forwarders and customs brokers). The platform will provide “data channel + operation application” and “trade financial supermarket” services for small and medium-sized trade enterprise, such as export tax rebates, import pad tax, account receivable financing services. In addition, both parties will promote and implement the platform in their respective cities and core enterprises.

       Through the strategic cooperation agreement signed, eCOM and OneConnect will establish a long-term relation of cooperation. Both parties will not only jointly promote the professional smart trade services in "trade + financial”, but also will provide better financial services and create more business value for small and medium-sized enterprises to realize trade facilitation as well as financial facilitation.
