China (Shanghai) Free Trade Zone Smart Trade Cloud Platform Project Officially Launched

       On December 18, 2019, the launch meeting for Smart Trade Service Platform Project of Shanghai Waigaoqiao International Trading Operation Center Co., Ltd (ITOC) was held in Waigaoqiao Machine Center.

       The meeting was hosted by Mr. Huang Baohua, deputy general manager of ITOC. Mr. He Guoguang, general manager of ITOC, Mr. Horace Mak, general manager of eCOM Information Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd (eCOM), and Mr. Zheng Yubei, project manager of eCOM gave a speech respectively. Attendees included leaders and key personnel from different departments of ITOC, as well as key members of the project team from the contractor eCOM.

       The China (Shanghai) Free Trade Zone Smart Trade Cloud Platform is based on the requirements of the strategic development plan of ITOC to integrate existing business system, customs service platform, warehouse management system, transportation management system and OA office system of ITOC, as well as to build the interconnected, efficient and secure cloud computing platform.

       The platform is helpful to realize the data integration and sharing among various business systems, to fully mine the massive business data accumulated in the business system of ITOC over the years to realize the rapid search and active push data. It provides system connect for related departments and clients to realize real-time query for operation status of customs, warehousing, transportation and other businesses, and further enhance customer experience as well as adhesion. Therefore, the platform is of great significance for ITOC to comprehensively improve the informatization, intelligent management level, innovate management, improve management benefits and reduce management risks.

       Mr. Horace Mak expressed thanks for the trust of ITOC for entrusting the platform construction to eCOM, and introduced successful experiences and use cases of eCOM in trade and logistics. These fully reflect the professional level of eCOM in the industry. Mr. Horace Mak also introduced the application of eCOM Registry block chain technology in trade and logistics.

       Both parties believe that building a one-stop trade service cloud platform with import and export business as the core through the " China (Shanghai) Free Trade Zone Smart Trade Cloud Platform " to turn the existing business into a cloud, integrate business and information resources will certainly improve the comprehensive service capacity and internal work efficiency for ITOC. Through big data analysis and artificial intelligence, it will also provide better value-added services for enterprises inside and outside the free trade zone.
