IBM and eCOM have released a joint white paper entitled: “EDI in China: developing a strategy for B2B integration success”. The white paper discusses the current EDI scenario in China and highlights IBM’s extension of its B2B services to China through eCOM.
China has become the world's manufacturing center, providing countless B2B market opportunities that result in an enterprise’s unprecedented growth. However, with the significant rise of manufacturing and logistical costs in China, these opportunities become challenges for companies on how to leverage them successfully. Furthermore, with an ever-changing market, the coordination and integration of business processes and information logistics is still immature. Given the importance of reducing costs and improving operational efficiencies, along with the support of the local Chinese government, enterprises are learning on how to use B2B EDI in their business strategies to maximize their growth in China.
